Also I dont think anyone thinks TDI's are perfect, they are simply another tool one can use in determining a target before making a decision to dig or not -

I agree, yet some disliked an icon as opposed to the actual number but whats the difference if I have a target segment blinking at me or numbers bouncing from say 56 to 86 as long as I know what range I'm in the tone will let me decide to dig. Actually I want a machine that tells me the date of the coin

IMO the positioning of the headphone jack on the right of the control housing is the deal breaker for me ..........

It is a nice looking machine. I agree the headphone jack on the right is not a good spot. Perhaps a good majority of Whites users swing left handed?
