I started using energizer rechargeable batteries in my ace 250. Then while I was at Harbor Freight I picked up a 4 pack of their AA rechargable and so far they are both lasting about the same amount of time. I am happily suprised in the HF batteries.

Best I've found is harbor freight house brand AA batteries. 24 pack is 6-7 bucks. Haven't had any problems with leaks and give good run time. Been using them for at least two years now. They have two varieties. Don't buy the yellow ones, buy the orange ones. Yellows are very low quality with none magnetic cases. I use their 9 volt ones in my Tesoros and pinpointer. Can't remember the price but like everything at harbor freight, very reasonable.

I would go with rechargeable they will save you money in the long run I have been using mine for about 3 years now
