Wheat Penny cache and first Silver!

You had a very impressive hunt HI HO. Sounds to be a great "site". Congrats on the start of your Silver quest with the War Nickle. Also on the Wheat spill, the Arrowhead and the Marble. My very first Silver was a War Nickle, that was a while back in history. Now go back and repeat, low and slow. Trapper

That's a pretty sweet dig. Batch of bucket listers .

Was it a cashe , like someone burried it to hide it ?

Or more of a (pocket spill )where it was all dropped or lost at the same time?

Now you need to find an old jar to start your marble collection đź‘Ť

Yes I do need to find an old jar that would be great!
I believe someone buried it there on purpose because the Arrowhead was in the same hole as the pennies all dated around 1940s + so I think it was a kids cache I found it around an old tree and I found the war nickel with an play money token not to far away from the tree by the original walkway. I also found an old hot wheels car around the same tree as well I'll post it in this thread if you want! happy hunting!

Thank you I will go back and do as you say I am very excited to go back out and see what I find thanks! Happy hunting!

Years ago I dug a wheat penny and found an arrowhead with a broken tip in the same hole. It seems like arrow heads with broken tips are more common around here.

Lot of good stuff going on in this post! New forum member gets 1st silver. Cache of wheat pennies with a stone arrowhead. Old play money dug with a war nickel. A marble (and a toy car) was dug too. ...and you were using a White's Coinmaster! Nice!

Congrats on the war nickel and wheaties! That looks like a promising site.

Thank you I hope the great finds keep coming! I also have a celler hole to hunt that I haven't even gotten to yet so maybe there's silver there too!

Nice Marble too! I got something for marbles, think i lost some years back, been trying to find them since, haha.

Do you happen to have any tips on finding more silver coins? I am relatively new to the hobby
Go to oldest part of town around quiting time and if you see someone getting home, or standing around, or having a smoke on the porch just stop say HI, tell them what you do, ask for permission. All they can say is NO, but good chance they might just say yes. Ive stoped at a few garage sales this year, got permission on all them. If you are hunting a home and neighbors come out or walk by strike up conversation, works most times.
