What's in your own backyard?

To each their own....90% of the items in your albums would have ended in my trash pile. (no offense)

you would have tossed stuff because your not someone who loves artifacts! :) All historians Ive showed my stuff too (these are guys who have written books in the Second Seminole War) have said this is incredible, and I'm very lucky

The thing with my stuff is that they are actually worth something :) all of it is 175+ yrs old. And from the US army!!!!! This has a lot of archaeological and historical value. The my half dime I found is worth twice as much a Morgan BTW!!

I would, even still, rather dig a Morgan!!

These are my "neatest finds" as well as a couple silvers, and many wheatts, and odds and ends.

I have a silver ring and a few wheats even though my house was built in the late 70s. Nothing special

Anyways Ice S, we obviously have different opinions and wont be able to change the others mind. Lets just agree to disagree.

No worries, I was not arguing with ya...

Just saying what I would rather dig...

I'm glad we all are different!

Good luck on your hunts!!

House is about 12-13 yrs old, built on a former farm field as are most houses around here...

1/2 or so of some sorta horseshoe, 2003 nickel (MY FIRST COIN!), scrap of aluminum, dog leash clasp (It sounded so good too...oh well, learning still! Only had the detector under a week :) )

Heading to the beach tomorrow, so we'll see how that works out!

No, pics but if you go look at my albums you can see what i've found! It beats anything these guys have posted. (No offense intended) Even the Morgan!

:wow::wow: bold statement there buddy.....I think all the pics that these people posted are great

Lived in a 100+ year-old house about 20 years ago (before I started detecting) and dug up a 1912 Michigan license plate while planting a rose bush in the back yard.

Agreed with ya ice

The value of a coin is not as important to me because I don't sell my coins..

A big fat old Morgan would just look and feel better in my hand than a half dime the was worth even 5x as much.. I would way rather dig a Morgan than a $500 gold ring also...

You all have some great yards there!!
