What Was Your Grossest Find?

yes the body is under the tree, you win the gold sticker.
I used to hunt so it wasn't too hard to figure it out lol... When I would metal detect in the woods, I would on occasion find red fox that had to be killed by coyotes... whatever it was ate the organs and left the meat to tenderize is my guess.. or I chased it off when it heard me as the fox was still steaming..

It wasn't particularly gross but I found a "shake and bake" meth setup in a cooler buried up to the lid. It had a cutoff mop head in it.

I wasn't Md'ing but when I was a game keepers apprentice back in the early 90's I was repairing fences and was overcome by the foul stench of rotting flesh. It was a hobo decaying against a tree. Poor fella.
Whilst Md'ing, I dug a pull tab that had a fake finger nail still attached to it. That was pretty gross.

I think a dental bridge would qualify as gross, but I’m willing to overlook the grossness when it’s gold. 😁

Not an MD Find, but I used to belong to a deer stalking club here in the UK. We had a converted cottage in some forestry and there would normally be about a dozen to twenty people staying every weekend.

We had a highseat (tower stand) set up fairly close to the cottage...Behind it was very thick forestry, but in front was clear fell and replanting..I forget the number of times I had been in that seat. Then one weekend one of the guys who was in the seat gets taken suddenly short, and climbs down and goes into the woodland to the rear...Not a dozen feet behind, he finds a hangman's noose tied to a branch, and below, it the decapitated remains of a human corpse...

The police were called and it turned out the person had been missing for a number of years and so must have been lying out of sight just behind us every time we used that seat....

I’ve been able to translate all of that, except the part in bold.

Crack vial complete with "product" along with spring-loaded knife, 4" deep near a tree in mid-town. Sheriff's deputies not happy with me delivering first item to them (vs. leaving for some school kid to find...).

Well, here's my contribution. A cap to a tooth with the tooth still inside, found underneath the equipment in a local tot lot. Wonder if the person really banged there head playing on the tot lot equipment:?:

Mine was a crematory tag. [no pictures] Returned to the ocean the next day, far as I could throw it!

I hate little used ketchup packets at the beach. Also at the beach, a set of car keys with some king of animal foot key chain.

A crash when doing a field. Motorcyclist hit the gulley and was dead when we (Wade and I) got there. Found out later that the fellow took a massive heart attack and died before he hit the ground. Dig continued after statement to the police!
