Westboro Baptist Church at my school tomorrow

Stevo, the Patriot Guard did show up to campus today in the event the animals reared their ugly faces.

I went driving through campus at the time they claimed they would be picketing. They weren't there and I didn't find them in town. I was looking forward to emptying my air tank with a 140db "hello"

This was my all time favorite Westboro Baptist Coward reception:

This ruined my night. I am a student @ tech and as if our Hokie community hadn't already been rocked by the tragic crime that took the lives of one of our police officers...we have these disgusting animals coming to protest the slain officer's funeral tomorrow.

I'll be joining the counter-protest tomorrow. Last year when I counterprotested via my truck's air-horn the cops told me to stop. I don't think that they will this time.

Contact your local 'Patriot Guard Riders.' They came here for a service for a fallen serviceman KIA in the middle east conflicts, because we also were expecting problems with these Westboro folks. The Riders showed, the Baptist did not. I know they do this for Military services, but wouldn't hurt to check your local chapter and see if they attend for fallen officers of the law. And it is a peaceful group.

The funeral was @ 2....and the Guard Riders were there :)

Hmmm, wonder what would happen when Fred Phelps does die? Wouldn't it be nice to see several 1000 Patriot Riders ( with throttles revved up ) riding their bikes attend his funeral?

Turn around is fair play............see ya yardhunter

I've seen them on TV, absolutely disgusting what those people do...VERY few things can make my blood boil, but they do it....

I really don't understand how their 'right' to protest, is more important than a family's rights to a funeral in peace. It's a sad time, solemn time, a time for healing and moving on to happier times. It's very personal, private, and emotional. This is one of the highest forms of disrespect and harassment.

Really makes me wonder about the direction society is heading these days, can't image so many people actually willing to disrupt a funeral.

As annoying as everyone thinks they are that's what free speech is.

Let them waste their time. I personally wouldn't counter protest though.

You can't undo stupid.

Though I can see how things can go sour. They do like to go to public places to provoke people. Need to starting renting out the land for the day etc for whatever event it is so they can't ruin grieving peoples day.

But even the grieving people need to realize the situation and not take offense to it.

Might have to help anyonmous take their site down again.
