:DStretching before exercise doesnt affect anything much, its the stretching afterwards that is the key.....the stretch b4 thing is a common misconception...always stretch afterwards.....and good luck....I got my 250 yesterday, and it wasnt so much the bending as it was trying to pick out all the fieldstone in my yard...every hole was full of rocks....and I need to get below them, because the topsoil is only 20 years old...now spreading that out was painful!

WAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Just wait till you get my age and you will hurt EVERY day. But if you are hooked like me, that won't stop you.:D I am almost afraid I will wake up some morning and nothing hurts, then I will think I died during the night.

Try it when you are 72 years old, sometimes I can't get back up after a dig.
Have to crawl around and find something to grab on to to pull up, thank goodness I hunt in rural areas so folks don't see me crawling around if they did they would think I was nuts (I am but don't tell anyone).

Ok, ok, keep laughing it up jokers!!!!

I have about 6 stretch trash bags full of empties with plenty of pulltabs to get off of em. Don't make me grab a handful of those tabs and go "Johnny Appleseed" on your favorite hunting spots!!!

LMAO!!! ;)

Well, off again today to hunt! :D

I've never really had any aches or pains from going out metal detecting (touch wood).
It does make me very tired though, especially if the ground is rough.

Just wait till ya dig into a bumble bee or wasp nest in the ground, You'll forget all about those aches and pains...also after what happened to me last year, I'll never dig next to another snake hole again.. I didn't know I could run that fast..

Speedster, your name gives you away. SLOW DOWN! That means slow down your swing speed, and your walk speed.

Two excellent reasons - You'll find deeper stuff, and you won't get so sore.

I have been out all day, and yes it hurts a bit.

But is worth it

I wished for death after my first day of digging. Never even realized what I was doing to my body. Now I pack snacks and have to take numerous ding-dong breaks....

I keep telling myself... One more day of this and I'll be totally ripped!.... One more day....lol If it gets too bad... use Bag Balm.. It's been keeping 90 yr olds moving for years!

Just remember, though, that this is the ONLY exercise that you get PAID to do. Even if it's only 10 cents, other people PAY to exercise at the gyms, so you're way ahead! :yes:Cheers!

Thanks alot

Try hunting for 2 or 3 hrs when you weight 300 plus, Whoa!:lol: the more that you hunt , the pain will begin to lighten up!

SpeedsterX Sore

I think you need to hike in a mile or mile and 1/2 to a cellar with a knapsack full of lunch, extra shaft and small coil, water, gloves, raingear, dry shirt, batteries, saw, knife, GPS etc etc etc.; carrying a 48" Lesce Shovel, and THEN dig all day. Oh I forgot, you then have to hike back out.:shock::lol::lol::lol:

Did this twice in the last two weeks - at least 5 miles each day; and I have never been accused of being thin!!

I like the "Feel the Burn" comment!!! :spin:
