Water hunted underground today...

Boy, that looks like fun! I've been in some caves before that I'd like to hunt, including a cave used in the 1800's up in King's Canyon National Park.

I see you took the 'wrist saver' grip off your scoop. Any particular reason why?

Have you ever considered making videos of your hunts Zeemang? I bet you'd be a hit on YouTube.

I took the wrist saver off because i tend to toss my scoop out in front of me before digging or back behind me after recovering targets, i found the edge on the bottom of the half pipe section was catching my hand a bit, needs to be well rounded off, so it's off for now.
Cenotes: there are several types, some just drop off from the edge and are very deep, some have a gradual slope to the deep end and some are mostly shallow. I was looking for the ones that are mostly shallow to be able to detect...
Glad you guys liked this!

Looks like ideal fanning grounds. Your scoop might not even be needed in conditions like that. Mask, snorkel and fins;) How cold is the water?

Wow, facinating zee. looks like the kind of thing you would see Bear Grylls jumping in to....cool hunting grounds.

Amazing... I have heard of these and seen many a picture. Never been in one. When I lived in Barbados, I went into the coral caves with the Int. Geophysical team for a day... went deep under the island and even went into a pool, dove down and under, to get to another cave.. lots of fun. Was not an MD.'r at the time, though likely nothing in those caves. We have some old limestone caves around here that I used to explore in my younger days... may go back sometime and do some MD'ing....
