Went to use my V3i today but iI cannot get past the start up screen. Buttons (menu, arrows etc) work fine but using the trigger does nothing at all. Changed coils, turned unit off and on etc but no go I figure the switch is kaput. Has anyone dealt with something like this before? I will see if I can videos dealing with it (assuming that is the problem). Thanks in advance

Yes, I've seen the switch fail. Another possibility is that the PCB connector where the switch plugs in has lost contact. Often all you need to do is wiggle it a few times. You would need to open to pod to get to it.

Simple fix as the connector just had to be reinserted in the prongs

Completely off.
As a 20 year retired ET technician myself, finding a 3 prong cable completely off inside a control box is rare. Makes me wonder how it got off. I'd never expect it. Metal detectors are made for bumping some, but.......Carl might understand better.

Years ago I replaced the trigger switch on my DFX. The only real problem was getting the case open and not breaking the connecting tabs in the process.
