These finds are from two more visits to the park project last week. Tried to dig some of the lower tones now, hoping to hit a gold ring, but it was not to be on these trips.
The work is done now, but this was a large project of about 6 acres. This site has been regraded and filled in at various times over the years, but has been a very high traffic area in a park for over 125 years. They scraped off about two feet in some areas and only 4" in other areas to level it all out and redistribute the topsoil for new soccer fields. What was so much fun about this, is that many of us were going every day or even multiple times per day around the workers and it was always like hunting a new site each time. The grass will be planted next week and then that will be the end.
