Still Killing It!!!
Two more off the Bucket List on Sunday....
Started my short hunt time at one of the older local schools. Found a great UMC MAGIC 12 Gauge Headstamp (circa 1901-1908), and a cheap junk ring on the surface (still a ring!). Headstamp is pretty cool for a schoolyard.
Now where???? Spotted three young guys working in front of an old house in one of Salem's historical areas. They had the entire yard tore out, and had already covered about a third of it with brick.... Bummer, but he said I could hunt the rest. The house was built in 1911, and they already had taken off the top few inches of dirt. This made for an excellent hunt. In about 30 minutes I found the following....
1916s, 1919s, and an unreadable Wheat Penny.
1899 V Nickle.... This is a first for me! Figured it would be a Buffalo when I got the signal.
1916 Barber Dime.... Also a first for me! Beautiful Coin!
Back on Monday for a few minutes.
Vintage Lock Key.
Sterling Silver Ring (2 rings - 2 Days).
The rim from an Old Pocket Watch.
1954 Wheat Penny.
This young man has a giant backyard, and is going to allow me to hunt it too!! Still need to finish all the front first.
These are the houses I like!
