Hey folks, these are my finds for the week. I did two hunts at my turn of the century park. That is where every silver coin came from except for one 1941 Merc you see pictured. I also had a couple hunts, one very short, at a plowed farm field, that was once an 1860's picnic grove. This place has been hammered to near death. There are very few signals in this massive field. This place has been hunted for years, but every once in a while you could get a nice time period coin or relic here. I dug an 1862 Fatty IH penny at this place, a really nice 1865 2 cent piece my second ever. I rarely ever hunt farm fields or places with mid 19th century history by the way. I also dug a small star shaped piece that says Boyd's Battery on it, which is from right around the picnic grove's time period. I looked it up and it turned out to be a piece of history from the time period, an electro-therapeutic medical medallion, that was used as a possible cure for certain medical problems at the time. I also dug a 1959 Jefferson nickel, that has been shot with a bullet and the bullet was still lodged in the middle Neat!!! We also tried a new farm field on the other side of town for a brief period before going to the 1860s grove. There I found a 1911 V Nickel, and two buttons, one is a flat button with the shank missing, and the other an old postman's button that says P.O.D. on it and has a mailman on the front. Anyway everything else you see in the pictures was found at the turn of the century park. I will continue to check on this park until it doesn't give me anymore goodies. Thanks for looking everyone, and HH! :)

I love seeing other peoples' finds, even though I admit it makes me a bit jealous. Nice job!

Oldest find- 1978 clad quarter in my backyard.

Absolutely amazed by your silver totals from public parks. Turning green with envy here! Congrats again.

WOW! If the parks around here produced anywhere close to that I would be able to quit door knocking. Congrats on an outstanding week of hunting!

Your "bullet" Penny looks to be a pellet! I use them at 100yds for practice almost daily

AMAZING silver count! That spot obviously will be giving it up for a long time to come

Excellent results History!

I wish my sites produced like that!

Were any of the older coins on the deep side? Sometimes it's weird when a zinc can be deep and the 100 year old silvers are just down like 3 inches.

You hit a home run with that coin with the bullet in it ,,,, I never heard and maybe never will again somebody finding a coin with a bullet in it,,, Congrats on your find,,,

Great haul ! Hope that park keeps giving for a long time. The nickle with the bullet is really cool. You have to wonder if that was in someones pocket when it found its mark. If you don't mind me asking, what settings are you using ? I just got an E-trac and I haven't been able get out with it except for a practice exercise in my back yard. Found a wheatie about 6in. down. Thing is I have been over that area at least a dozen times. I have been using an AT Pro, pretty basic machine, now with the e-trac and all the info it gives seems pretty complicated and a bit overwhelming so any help would be appreciated. Thanks Mark

I would say none were deeper than 7 inches. Some as shallow as 4 inches. Some clad can get just as deep if it's in a moist deep clay layer area.

I use a custom pattern with basically the bottom half of the screen blacked out. Basically to get rid of most iron signals. My sensitivity at this site is on auto, since stuff isn't too deep. Maybe my deepest silver here was 8 inches. There is a lot of iron and soil interference at this site so my auto sensitivity plus three brings it as low as to 14 or 15 sometimes. So you have to keep the coil low to the ground and go slow and listen for those little peeps.
