Tumblers on sale

If you have an old tumbler that still works don't waste you money on a newer chinese made thing that is going to do the same thing. They turn a drum with coins in it, that's all you need.

You can probably go on ebay and get a brand new belt for your old tumbler for a few dollars and be good to go for years. Heck I spent a little extra and got an old school Thumler's Tumbler just because it isn't newly made junk.

That link looks like the one I have:laughing::laughing::laughing: all this one needs is a new BIG rubber band or sleeve to go around the tumbler. It will do the job but it is load and takes forever:laughing: I can maybe get a hand full of coins in it. I guess I could use it and save some $$$. I was keeping this for my toy collection (have certain toys, games saved from my dad's childhood all the way to about 2000 when my kids stopped getting toys lol) but .....

Still curious, what is better the vibration or tumbling? Anyone use the UV cleaners?

Heh, I didn't realize the drum was so small. So maybe an upgrade is in order then!

I decided to try the old tumbler out last night. It runs like it used to (loud and slow lol) and have it tumbling some clad out in the garage. But think I will invest in a new one. Never made it to Harbor Freight but might stop by and check them out.

Thank you for this info! I just placed an order and with an additional 20% off coupon! Enter the number by the bar code of the 20% off coupon on this page. That should hopefully work!

Thanks again!

Did you receive it yet? I still haven't gotten my lazy self there yet! Maybe on Sunday when the wife goes to get her sewing stuff in the store near it

Got mine last week...Been using it to clean up some clad dimes...Seems to do a good job

I purchased the dual drum a few years ago. I use one drum strictly for pennies only and the other drum for nickels, dimes and quarters.

***My suggestion to anyone new using these Harbor Freight tumblers***

1.) DO NOT overfill the tumbler.

2.) After filling each drum, be sure to burp it (once you put the cap with the rubber backing break the seal and you will hear the air release (burping)).

3.) It only takes one drop of dish detergent, don't squirt it in.

4.) NEVER mix pennies with nickels, dimes or quarters. It will turn all of your clad a reddish color if you do.

5.) When I'm tumbling my clad I always put the machine over something that would catch the water should the seal break on one of the tumblers.

Good advice! Thanks

Its the single drum...working good for cleaning clad so far

I went to HF yesterday and the store did not have any in stock! I guess I will order online. I did find a cheap 5pc Eye Loupe set (2x,3x,5x,7x and 10x) not bad either.

This advice does not pertain to Harbor Freight tumblers, exclusively. This is solid advice for any tumbler.........

WOW.... ..... I remember when I bought mine in 2009 the 2 drum was going for like $40-45.... things seem to have doubled in price...:wow:

HF tumbler

Hi. I picked up a 2 drum tumbler at HF today. $54.99 on sale, no coupon needed. I did purchase the 2 year replacement warranty for $19.00 the guy said they will replace it even if I run over it with my truck. He said you do not even need a receipt, it will come up under your phone #. Stopped by Cabella's on the way home. Their tumblers are WAY more expensive!
I've got two years to wear this one out. Guess I need to write the purchase date on it with a magic marker so I know when it is worn out.:D
