After last week, KT was wondering if this March silver lion had any life in it, but never fear, the Lion lives and roars!
When KT picked up the Royal Boxes this week, the first thing He observed when putting them in the Chariot was that the boxes were dated by Loomis...all Feb 15 or 22 of 2016! KT wondered silently...could this be any good?
After ripping through Box 1 and getting only NIFCs and 1 previously marked KT coin (!), His Majesty was concerned, but then He ripped the second box and got 6 40%er Kens, 4 NIFCs, 1 Proof, and 1 Au-plated Ken (Boy, did it look pretty in all that white metal! ). Then Box 3 came along and, wonder of wonders, a Walker! A war year 1943 Walker...and that coin had to have been stored and only recently dumped..you will understand when you see its pic below. Anyway, another 3 40%er Kens, 6 NIFCs, and another Proof. Box 4 was a silver dud, but contained 12 NIFCs, 1 Proof, and a nice 87 Ken. Box 5 was not much with only 3 NIFCs.
The total roars at: 1 Walker, 9 40%er Kens, 32 NIFCs, 3 Proofs, 1 87 Ken, 1 Au-plated Ken and that silly KT marked Ken...incidentally, it will be dumped back into circulation, along with another orange stickered Ken that KT marked this week.
This hunt just goes to show...don't concern yourself with what dates, if any, your boxes have on them...there are still plenty of silver dumpers out there to get good coins back into circulation!
Enjoy the pics!
