The Scoop on Stealth

Are you for real? The fact that the people who bought the business are Vietnamese Americans should have nothing to do with their ability to manufacture a quality product. I had a Stealth 720i manufactured by Chuck, that bent, and was unusable. I brought it to the new owners who replaced it without question under warrantee with a more robust 720i scoop, which I can say I am very happy with. The young ladies at the front desk are a joy to do business with, and I could tell that their moto is customer first.

But really "Vietnamese", "little siagon", it seems to me your problem with the scoop manufacturer is within, and you may just be projecting.

Yes , I'm very real. Did you read anything about me knocking them because of them being Vietnamese ? Of course not. Didn't I say they are very helpful and nice ? Check. Did I say I still would recommend a scoop ? Check. CAN YOU READ AND COMPREHEND WITHOUT TWISTING SOMETHING AROUND ? NO.

AGAIN , just making people aware of what's going on so they can make an educated decision. From my firsthand experience. It's kinda like a waitress who works for 3 months and then decides she is going to buy the restaurant. She is in for surprise ! There's a learning curve.

And if Chuck was there on a daily basis , he would flip out. Oh...btw... I love Vietnamese food !

I understand, you still "recommend" Stealth scoops, even though they are made by "Vietnamese" people, in a "questionable" shop located in "little siagon". I do understand.

I still use a stealth scoop. But my older one was better. I have about 5 different scoops. The little siagon area is actually a few miles away from there shop. But still Westminster. Lots of great restaurants and shops where you can find good deals. A little drive from my L.A home , so I make a day of it.

Guessing, double the price of the SS? No word yet. Hoping Earl would be one of the first to know.
I think that the price will be 2.5 times more :)
I made an Stavr SS 8 "weighing 1.85 pounds back in 2009 (the model was called Evroexcavator v.5) and it cost $ 155 , now it has transformed into a v.22 model and weighs 2.4 pounds and costs $ 137
in 2010 I made a Stavr Ti (Grade 5 and 9) 8 " weight 1.43 pounds and it cost 2.25 more expensive ...
in 2011, I decided not to do titanium scoops on the flow again - and that was the right decision :)
8 years later ... ;)

StarvR... thanks for that scoop with the point on it you recently sent me. That things pretty light weight as well as very well built. I like the way the 1/2 holes clears..... now here my but..... but i still believe about 3 or 4 lines of 1/4" holes in the back and bottom is a good idea. In fact i know it is for us Fl guys. 1/4" seems to be the magic number for catching most anything of value. You have to realize...... machines like the Nox is finding us even smaller targets. More and more people are going to the Nox.... thats just a fact and is see more and more of those people walking 20 yards out of the water to dump their scoops .... hoping that tiny target stayed in there. And.... no i dont want to tote a sifter.

Sooooo just curious how many prefer the smaller holes to catch small targets and have bought those type of scoops now that they are available?

To fine tune it a little bit. I think west coast Florida with the sugar sand will clear a scoop with small holes fairly quickly.

However on the east coast of Florida the sand is coarser, broken shells from the wave action will also clog the scoops and you will rather just dump your scoop than sift it.

East coast hunters are not interested in earring backs, etc. It's run and gun on the Treasure coast.

Yes, it's going to be close to double. Maybe not worth it to the guy who just want something that "works and ready to go" to hit the beach for a few hours on the weekend, but for the guys who hunt the beaches more than a few days a week and many hours at a time then the really light weight of the titanium would be a good investment. I'll be picking one up.

I agree 100%. When I'm at my home in Miami , it's similar in that you want to dump the scoop as in L.A. The only difference I see , in LA there is more of a gravel substructure. But I generally think of Florida as "sugar sand". And yes , I don't care about teenie tiny targets. Bigger holes for faster sifting if I choose.

Mmmmm- Charly-Ri-Ct / Kob

Might be worth it , if it has the same warranty as the SS scoop's , that way if the welds don't hold up, it's covered under warranty , as OBN said welding titanium is expensive , looking forward to my 1st titanium scoop , as no other manufacture's but Xtreme currently offer titanium scoop's in there line up, thanks Charly , Earl  PS Kob :nicethread: I'll do all my business with Xtreme , as higher grade Stainless Steel is available , along with a Titanium coming , your factory visiting review I find interesting, wish you the best, Thanks

Unfortunately folks , it's not always possible to physically go into a business due to an online presence or location is just to far away. But alot of people like to know how a business is run , check out the facilities , touch products , etc. Yes , it can be an eye opener ! Flukes can happen in any business. Sometimes the truth can sting a little. This was my experience ( backed by a witness as well ). Not all will experience the same. So... for all the naysayers , disillusioned and people with their head in the sand : If possible GO THERE YOURSELF. Stay informed !

To me this is a so what....if there are no complaints and we are still talking high quality I’m not seeing a reason for the post. Chuck answered most of our questions some months back so it really old news.
