Mud and rocks???.... You should know better... Last time I hunted ( the incident) was all rocks. Been researching the E coast since I have had the time not detecting

I may take you up on that, only when you come to the West Coast you hunt with me where most out here don't.... Will even cook some fresh fish/shellfish for dinner... (Hmmm maybe some Lion Paws)

Cheers...

But I am not carrying your scoop!!!!!!:p

I carry my own scoop thank you  Nah the thought of getting in the water there with white sharks doesn't do anything for me... I would look too much like a seal or sea lion in my waders

If you come out east and venture to CT I will take you to the beach PI JOE got stuck in the mud and fell  but a lot gold came out of there last year.. ;) Its all mud but not all soft stuff some is soft for a couple inches then a layer of mud and gravel after that shells and peatbog where the stuff sits... its a good sifter beach like Cupajo uses...

You know something Terry, I just don't get it... I have used a Sand Shark, there is no way it can compare with the machines I have. I have not been detecting for months, I was way too shook up on what happened and had some family issues. I actually went out this last weekend, and knocked it dead... there were members on this forum that were hunting and did not find much. Same location, different machine.

I am not a blowhard, I am not pushing a book, a website, a certain type of machine, or God knows what. Truth be known, I have a problem with one member, because I feel that person has other motives in mind. If I am wrong so be it. I even made the mistake of posting that watch on one of my first couple posts. Should have waited, but it was a recent find. Unfortunately, it looked too good to be true.

So I will call you on your statement, you pick the place, and the time. I can afford to get anywhere. If you like you can pick the machine I use, the new DF, the relic Cuda, or the collectors item Aqua. There is no way you will pick up things I do. I do not care if it is still water or rocky. That is not hard. Hopefully you will chose something rough with current, something you are fighting the breakers for. I will put my money where my mouth is, choose any item from any of my posts. You do better than me, you can have it. If I win, you owe me nothing. The only thing, is the watch I gave away, 36 grams of 14K and 33 diamonds. It meant more to the person I gave it to.

You know what frosts me, is there is half a dozen people I would like to meet on this board. Not about knowing there spots, but to see how they approach it. Are they like me and watch the ocean for half an hour walking, looking for signs. A detector is a tool, nothing more, nothing less. Its the operator behind it for the most part, but when you are fileting a fish you want your knife as sharp as possible.

In fact come out to the West Coast, I will set you on a spot that always produced, always. It has black sand, current, and heavy waves. Even the Excalibur guys cant crack it. In fact, I will post what was found there on my first hunt back. First time out in months, and I was rusty.

You hold on to that machine so tightly, I just don't get it. I don't care what you find or did not find. I have seen members asking advice about a machine and then two weeks later giving advice advice on the same machine. They became an expert overnight??? You know I have only been irked a couple times on this board, one time a mod stepped in, which I have yet to give him my side. But I think I will now, he actually stepped in on my behalf, when I know the other party is a friend of his. He deserves an explanation, and after this I am going to send something to him that was written months ago. You saying the Mods are out to get you??? Are you freaking kidding???

So your sand shark is THE machine??? I will call you on it... Plain and simple. You know the bad part of it all, is I bet you are a really good guy. That is whats perplexing...

This says it all honestly.

THIS POST IS NOW REOPENED

Who whipped this hornet's nest into a frenzy? Hey! It's only metal detecting. Can't we all just get along?

The OPer poster...

That is what this and every other forum is about - Giving opinions, sharing experience. For many, many years, Whites and Garrett have "owned" the metal detecting forums through sponserships and a majority of detector owner members. When Tesoro began making headway through word of mouth, rather than paid sponsorships, some got defensive.

Whites has steadily lost market share to Tesoro, as have others, and Tesoro has refused to allow its dealers to make the same high profits per machine as Whites, by setting the retail price at the factory and making it public on their website.

Most other "American" metal detector manufactures still import the majority of their components, then assemble them in the United States. Tesoro actually manufactures the majority of their own components right there in Prescott. It is the ONLY American metal detector manufacturer with the confidence to back its machines for life.

Whites and Garrett are probably FREAKING OUT right about now, because they know this new moderately priced machine and three-coil package is genius!

So, Daysailer, thanks for your post, but here is the thing.. I don't care what anyone thinks about me or my reputation, I say what I mean whether you aor anyone else likes it or not. I am also the only one on this forum that has the intestinal fortitude to use my real name so you KNOW who you are talking to every time.

I'll have some thoughts on Pulse Delay a little later, after the smoke from the next barrage of insults clears..

My machine can detect the core of the earth... beat that, newbies. :D

PS. I think we scared Terry off, as you were.

I can't believe this drama that I find so sickening also seems to have a strange hold on me. I just spent quite a bit of time reading all of the posts on this thread. What's happening to me? I used to be a pretty stabile guy, that is, till I started reading the threads here. It's like a freaking drug or a daily tv soap opera that I just have to watch. I know it's not healthy. I know it's not good for me but I can't stop reading these drama threads! I don't know how to bring myself to stop reading them. What should I do, seek professional help? Is there hope for me? :?:

The white sharks are further South, in fact can show you where the momma sharks have their pups...

Actually I would be more worried about the stingrays here. Have seen a bunch this year, way more than usual. Just bring a hot hands packet, so if you do get stung, put the heat packet on it, the protein in the poison breaks apart with heat. Peatbog, hmmm that would make some slow digging...

At lest Joe just fell over, I have the tumbling, flailing, tumbling some more, all the way to shore down pat...

Will keep it in mind... Thanks...

Ive never said this about anyone on a forum.... but would someone please put duck tape over his mouth and send him out the door or end this thread? There seems to be at least one or in this case 2 people on every forum that arent known for their MD skills but the constant irritation and non productive posts.... to what benefit? There is nothing about continuing this post that will change anything.... it just produces more fun for the poster.

The white sharks are the main thing that is keeping me from using scuba gear and going out past the waves... I'm in San Diego, there are so many seals in the water, and on certain beaches. You know there are big sharks cruising out there...

If you want to see them, hit San Onofre, Oceanside, and sometimes along Newport Coast. There is couple of deep trenches, add the food supply, bingo... Threshers as well, many threshers... Just get up on any of the cliffs.

Still more afraid of the stingrays, right now they are thick close to shore in parts of OC. The sandcrab hatch brings them in.

Cheers...

Looks like this thread is beginning to drift off topic and the original topic has been beaten to death. It's time to close it.
