I got into a patch of spencer carbine bullets today. Gettysburg retreat.

Most look unblemished I mean they didn't impact anything. Good finds.

They are all discarded bullets or "dropped ". They were chasing Rebs that were right over the hill from this area.

Im very lucky to have an area this early in the war to produce them. They weren't issued to too many men yet in 1863.
