Got out Monday & Tues for a few hours to do some civil war relic hunting & happened across a couple nice old coins in the field to go along with some nice relic finds, Not sure what the thing is with the buckles that has the hole in the center, looks almost like a whistle or something but is solid on both ends...
The coins are 2-Indians 1862 & 1868, 3 shield nickels 1866, 1867 and not sure about the 3rd.. 1853 seated half dime & a 1853 seated quarter that was made into a love token... Thanks for looking..

Way cool!! I really like the love token!

I don't know anything about the war relics, but those coins and that other silver item, are a home run!

Congrats on all that cool stuff!!

You killed it out there!! Wish I was there with ya bro. Imagine what Jim had already pulled out of that place :wow: Hope your able to get in the river beside this year. I can only imagine what is in there. Unbelievable finds man. I would have been ecstatic to find any one of those coins on any given day.

Have you looked into the service medals? The moon and stars one looks pretty sweet.

That's an unreal hunt! You got it all except gold in one hunt. I believe a day like that would get me high enough to carry me for awhile

Nice! Congrats on them oldies! Glad to see one of us has time to swing the coil.

I like that quarter token! That's cool!

Grats!

Cleaned the Indians & Shields up a bit with olive oil, not much better but I was able to make out the dates on the Nickels... 1866 with rays, 1867 no rays and 1869, wish they came out of the ground better but they rarely ever do....

Wow...crazy cool finds...the seated token is a mind blower.

Is it a dime or quarter?

Congrats!
