So this is how you get rich metal detecting!

In before the unlock

There are clues to who won this . Can you figure it out? In fact the real name of the person is given if you know where to look. Let's see if you can figure it out.:?:

Starting bid: 99 cents

No bids, auction closed. Big fat nuttin!
This guy broke the first rule of auction selling: have something people want to buy.

But, hey, he said he was just having fun with it. I've done the same, listing utter garbage on eBay to see if it gets any interest.
And sometimes it sells.
The listing was probably free, or so low as to be of no consequence. Now the guy knows to go ahead and toss the thing, then list something people want to own.

Fun Lesson Learned.

Nope, he relisted it!

He has a bid!! Holy cow thats amazing!

A bid??!!

Sounds like somebody bought it that ain't too bright. We can always apologize if it's a forum member.

No, no bids that I can see. the first listing ran out with no bids and the second listing, he put 3 tabs up for auction, guess he figured he make it irresistible!

He relisted it and it sold the second time. I know who won the auction the second time. The clues are there.

I've been keeping the old ones, just because they are 1st gen pull tabs :D ( i have a whopping 3 and 1/2 ).

who knew it would have come in handy!

The other auction closed because:

"This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold."

...so it does not tell you who the buyer was because it was NOT done with eBay.

it did get 2 bids though, and this is all ebay will tell you unless you are included in the transaction:

Well I stand corrected. Sold the second time. I bet he sold it to himself.

no he didnt sell any. he ended the auction early because it was sold off ebay. thats what you do when you dont want to bay ebay listing fees, you stop the auctuion, and you tell them you sold it.

He did relist it though, and that one didnt sell.

Yes but the seller can sell the item to the highest bidder and end the auction early if they wish. I do not know who the seller is but I'm starting to get closer on that. I do know who the winning bidder is.

you know who the seller sold the pull tabs to by looking at the auctions? i cant see how, can you show me? i cant figure it out all it said was n**a

The whole transaction was done within eBay rules If you click on the link at the beginning of this thread and then click on "relisted this item" and you then scroll down the page and read certain things you will get the answer.

oh ok, i was thinking it was something with ebay itself, i list lots of classic cars on ebay and never came across that option.
