Pennyweight vs Grams

What a day, 71DHB ! Three 18K rings.

No one mentioned this yet, but I noticed the 11.19 on your scale and thought, "... very nice, 11+ grams of 18K", but then I noticed your scale is in the "dwt" (Pennyweight) mode. I looked up the conversion factor for DWT to Grams and it's 1 DWT=1.55517 grams, or inversely, 1 gram = 0.643015 DWT.

So, it looks like your 11.19 dwt is 17.402 grams of 18K gold. Grams is the more common measure we are used to seeing on the forum, so I found it interesting to see your total in grams. Wow... either way, that's a lot of moolah. :dingding: Do you have that kind of success in Canada ?

You are absolutely right on everything Jim! Thanks for pointing all that out. I actually have detected very little in Canada. Most of my detecting is done here in Italy.
