I appreciate all the kind comments! It's been a tough year so far for finding anything of note let alone of some value at the beaches. And the ground has been bone dry, which pretty much rules out dirt hunting in areas of real interest (e.g., lawns). So I 'm praying for bad weather to open up the beaches and lots of rain to saturate the ground -- this is NOT the kind of thing most people in this tourist haven would be hoping for.

But are the initials MS or SW?

Don't know, but the thought crossed my mind that the chances of a jeweler finding a customer for this ring are doubled....
