Silver Coins in Circulation??? Transactions

Got lunch a couple months ago and the bill was $9.50...paid $10 and got 2 quarters change dropped in my hand and heard silver clink off clad...was a state quarter and a 1936 GW.

Now and then. Found two Rosies in the coin star in the last month. Last year, I was behind a women in the liquor store, she dropped a dime. I bent over to pick it up for her and was shocked to see it was a Barber dime. I explained that it could be worth something, she said you can have it. She then looked in her change purse and exclaimed, "here's another one" and handed it to me. Sure enough, another Barber, I again explained what they were and she just said, "I have no interest in them" keep them.
Last week in change I got a wheat and a war nickel in change. Needless to say, I always check.

I've gotten a few silver coins in change in the past few years, mostly dimes and a couple of quarters. Coinstar machines have given me 15 silver coins in the past two years since I started checking them. I recently got a full date Buffalo nickel in change and quite a few Wheat Cents over the years. The coins have come mostly from donut shops and liquor stores, but the Buffalo came from Walmart.
