I went for a quick hunt this evening to try my second machine - the Omega8K
without knowing if my settings were correct since that was my first swing of this detector. came was a clad penny and moments later i got a nickel ID at about 5-6". out of curiosity i dug it out. pop goes this worn-out 1891 Seated Liberty Dime. took me a while to ID this one since I haven't seen this beauty up close.

I mean i don't know what i was doing just swinging and when i heard a repeated tone i just go and dig. this area was hunted many times by my eurotekpro 11"DD and Nel 5" sharp. there is no way i could have pass this signal.

short hunt ended up this sweet nectar in the whole! any Omega settings recommendation please let me know so i could practice more.

That Omega should do better work than the ETP. From my understanding thathat Omega is a real deep seeker and coin hog.

Sweet save on that seated. I love those things. Crazy it came up nickel range, what else was in the hole with it? Maybe it nulled out with the ETP and the 8K saw past it...?

@Swing360 there was a rusty old nail with it. i remember the nickle sound were louder and a very feint high squeek at the end of my sweep and it was repeatable.

thanks for dropping by guys. i will surely enjoy this detector gor years...
