Found the one on the right while looking for the one on the left. 1k reward for the one on the left. 18 grams of 14k on the right and 8 diamonds. I like plucking these things out amongst the full timers. Just a Sunday morning hobby.

From a local beach: Circa late 17th to 19th century, mine I would think is 19th century.

Not worth repairing. You will never get that kind of money out of it. Maybe a bit higher if you sell it privately but not that much unless you find a willing buyer. Appraisals are only for insurance if stolen. Not worth the paper they are printed on if you are selling it. Experience is the key. If you can get over 2 grand for it, take the money and run.

yeah the guy who appraised it basically said the same but said i should be able to get 40% of that 8Gs, so yeah 2-4 gs i would be happy, but i gotta find a few more like it 1st before i cash in :D

Put it up on feebay for 6k or beat offer.. Good photos, appraisal, etc... might take a while but maybe get lucky

I had the diamond ring looked at by Jarads Jewelers, 23/27 g's, then they offered me 9204. for it..40% is just about right. Said the money was in the stone, not the plat.

Then My favorite ring from this year, an old signet..just something about it.

Silver Dollar

First and only one I ever found.
It was in a hole with a key, most likely in a virgin yard we got permission on.
Luckily CS1 was there to see me have a heart attack:shock:

Just realized this is in the beach and water section... oh well:p

This may not be my most valuable find this year but it definitely had some style to it. So much so that the wife really liked it so I had it sized and polished for her and gave it as a present.

I think most people who can pay the appraisal price would just buy a new ring instead of a used one. I have found a lot of brand name silver rings that sell for ¥30,000-¥40,000 here. I haven't tried to sell anything yet but if I could get ¥8,000-¥10,000 for them I would be happy since silver value is probably ¥1,000 or less.

It's a good ring though. It is hard to sell finds like that. You get a little cash selling them but I like to get everything out and look at it sometimes. I used to keep my clad too but I finally started putting it in the bank. I may eventually start selling stuff.

Great thing about hording finds is that you can sell whenever you want. Price down = close the treasure chest. Price up = unload a bit and wait for the next king tide to replenish ;)

My best find ever was July 2017 at a local beach. Big thunderstorm building up to the South West and it was raining. So I was just detecting my way back the two blocks to the car.

Hit a couple targets and then saw yellow in the scoop. Loupe did not find a hallmark and I was confused as it certainly looked real.

Life Guard walked up and asked what did you find and I told him a junk ring as I put; it in my pocket. Got home and my cheap diamond tester swore that the stones were real.

Next morning it was at the jewelry store and the young lady tested everything and said that I had a .75 carat SI-1 main stone that was an Old Mine Cut and the 8 smaller stones totaled .40 carats. The ring tested at 14k.

Two days before I had found a .60 carat VS-1 in 14k gold which I sold. Those two are my best finds Ever.
