I would like to know the diameter of the "T handle" and diameter of the "shaft" of a Lesche Sampson 31" T handle shovel.
Thanks

The T-Handle is way better that the D-Handle if you use a belt carrier. I have loved all of my Sampson t-handle shovels.

Thank all of you for your input. I have one coming from Bart/Big Boys Hobbies was interested in making a carrier for it.
I'm just impatient I guess..... 'Is it here yet??'. :foottap: I just ordered it yesterday.
Thanks again

I have used the Ready Shovel belt carrier for years.

DO NOT just toss the shovel on your shoulder and hunt! I have had veteran hunt buddies do that and it looks bad for the hobby in public parks. A belt carrier pays for itself.

That shovel blade will bend though. Respect it, if you hunt in clay.

Thank you Martin for the good advice. And I will also check out the Ready Shovel belt carrier.👍

I'm probably too late to the party, but I would highly recommend Rattlehead's Hip Clip...I've been using the same one for the last 5 years with my Sampson T-handle shovel. They're very well made, durable, convenient, easy to install, and low profile once attached to the shovel, and they'll work with many different shovel brands. The simple design means it's easily adaptable - I've hooked the shovel to my regular pants belt, beltless waist band of my pants, a pant pocket, my molle tactical belt, you name it! My favorite feature of the Hip Clip is that you can easily adjust the "ride height" to suit your tastes or situation. I have mine attached to the shovel so that the handle rides several inches above the belt line - it eliminates the problem of the shovel swinging while I walk and turning into a shin or calf buster, which was a major problem with the Shovel Holster I was using previously (very similar in design to the Ready Shovel). You can also adjust the clip so that the shovel comfortably hangs from a backpack. Best of all, they're made by active forum member @Rattlehead, so you'd be supporting a member! :cool3:
