I have been experimenting lately with reactivity .05. Totally blown away... 0 will be the next experiment. I like full tones with hi square. My first take on using the lowest reactivities with DEEP HC totally blows me away. On quiet ground it still has great separation! And damn its deep!!! Already thinking of many older sites I may need to revisit.

Try to mix low reactivity with low audio filter like 1

I really would like to see a video on the separation of targets using the different reactivities using a fast sweep verse a slow sweep . Once targets are to close together does not matter what you choose there going to be blended .
I would assume that if one reactivity see's a target the other will to but with a faster sweep the lower reactivity using a faster sweep will not see it another words the first target will remain in the audio before the second target get's detected . But with a slower sweep the first target will pass and let the second target through .
I don't need reactivity 3 to 5 I am not looking for clad I hunt old coins .
I have seen videos of guys sweeping so fast hint p.s that even with the rounded edge of the coil I think he still cuts grass lol .
So the deeper I want to hunt the lower the reactivity I will use and the slower the sweep speed ?
People say you will miss targets by not using a high enough reactivity well if I set my reactivity to 3 to 5 I can kiss those old coins I am looking for goodby .
If I only want to hunt the first 5 inches and collect clad fine but I am not a clad hunter .
If I use 0 to 1.5 reactivity in a trashy spot with a slower sweep speed I (WELL) find deep old coins not all of them but using 3 to 5 for reactivity game over now I am a clad stabber not what I want .
Wondering if David TSS has made a video on this he's made a lot but I may have missed it. sube

I used a fairly high Reactivity for hunting tot lots. It seemed to help be able to get closer to the metal toys and still get a separate signal.

I have been running .5 on the beach for a few years now with the 9" coil. I get a feeling it works a little different than Recovery speed on the Equinox. I feel the higher the reactivity the more narrow the search signal is. I do not get the same feeling on the Equinox.
I do like .5 and with a larger coil one may be able to run a higher reactivity without the feeling you are going to miss a target. Going to put the 13" D2 coil into service this season so it will be good to compare the two coils and how reactivity affects them.

I agree. A slower sweep speed and reactivity of 0.5-1.5 works well for me, even on most trashy sites. There's only on a couple of sites that I hunt that are just blanketed with nails.. On those I run reactivity at 3 as some old targets are still shallow. Other than that, I rarely ever go higher than 1.5 due to depth loss. I don't care for digging clad. Would prefer to skip it when possible.

Just starting to experiment with this idea. one thing is for sure ~ this is going to work best in open ground. I have only tried this in Deep HC, and I have not tried in Sensi Ft yet, Will be interested to see what happens in heavier iron when notching is introduced...... stay tuned I will get around to it, and will report any positive developments.

Reactivity 0 is absolutely incredible! Reactivity 5 is also an insanely great tool on the D2. I have found numerous great finds on the surface or top 2" thanx to reactivity 5, including coppers on the surface, just under the leaves, I have also dug insanely Deep High Conductors in 0 reactivity on open ground.... Further more I never go to a site and use only a single reactivity settings. If I start finding good targets, I will hunt the area in at least three different reactivities.
