Question for coinshooters - how do you carry your finds in the field?

I have been just jamming any found coins in my pocket, which has been fine since I haven't gotten anything very exciting so far. But I noticed on YouTube that people carry bottles of water, trays with dividers, boxes, etc. I just wondered what some of you use and why. Thanks for your input!!

I use either a prescription bottle or one of those clear plastic coin tubes. I stuff it with toilet paper and then wrap my good coins before sticking them in the container. Modern clad I just throw in the finds pouch.

I use the Garrett finds pouch. Holds lots of junk and has a nice little zippered section for the good stuff.

Trash and clad goes in a Minelab apron or a garrett pouch and my good coins in my pocket. You don't need a pill bottle or some other container. Its been in the ground that long, what else can happen in your pocket...lol

Anything good gets wrapped in a napkin and put in my pocket, common silvers and keepers go into the pill bottle, clad gets dropped in the pouch...and the pennies get thrown at whoever I'm hunting with:lol:

It could get lost again when I pull out my keys to go home... coins get lost, that's how we find them.

I feel much more comfortable with good keeper coins being in a separate container I can keep really good track of. That's just me. Plus with silver, I like to be really sure I'm not going to add any scratches. I like them in as nice condition as possible.

I went a bought a fairly cheap fanny pack (the type which carries normally on the hip but i carry it front and center). It has a smallish front pocket which easily carries up to $10.00 in change for my clad. Next pocket back is big enough for my cell and spare 9v batteries. Next pocket is for trash. I carry good finds in one of those rubber squeeze coin carriers like my dad used have and carry it in my front pocket. Doing it this way for me keeps stuff out of my pockets which usually ends up poking you when you bend down to dig.

I do the same. Good stuff wrapped in TP in a medicine bottle, clad in the pouch.

I have a finds pouch with several compartments, the large one holds my lesche and my propointer and I toss all the junk in there, I have one pill bottle for wheats, and other semi neat items, then I have a second pill bottle for silver coins, indians, tokens, cool stuff, then I have a third container for exceptional items that I really do NOT want getting scratched, like seated coins, large cents, key date coins(if date is visible) etc.....

I will not take the chance of a good item getting scratched!

junk (ie non coins) go in my back pocket. all coins go in my front pocket where I have no danger of losing them until I have a chance to clean them up.

u just might have a hole in your pocket, that is how a lot got lost in the first place!

I used to carry my finds in my pocket but after a really old skeleton key broke in my pocket, I have a finds pouch that I carry my finds it. It is black mesh and I use it on land and in the water.
