PSA for newbies - chinese metal detectors being offered up on Amazon

Let me start off saying, I would never buy a chinese metal detector. But if you are looking to waste your money, then look at these two offerings. Tempting at $75 for both knockoffs. It will be amazing to hear that they work for even a couple of days. Waterproof for $59??? Ask minelab what it takes to try and waterproof their Equinox 800. and just read all the 5 star Amazon reviews. What a joke! those reviews are made by planted reviewers who will buy the detector to get the verified purchase flag and then return the detector.

The control housing isn't waterproof...it's waterproof up to the control housing.

Speaking of reviews, just go onto Home Depot or Lowes websites and search for "Buckets with Lids" and read the reviews. You will die laughing!!!

slow day so checked out the home depot bucket reviews. This was my favorite:

It's a bucket. It's orange. It's so fantastic and wonderful I can barely contain myself. I left my wife of twenty years to be with this bucket. I love this bucket so much that I now identify as an orange home depot bucket so I can legally marry it and make it my life partner. Five stars
