Hurricane Irma and SC

I'm on Hilton Head SC for a few days of vacation and beach detecting. Irma is changing my plans. That storm is just too powerful. I think EM Officials are getting ready for reverse lane traffic flow, so that sounds like mandatory evacuations are next. I am bailing out tomorrow, ahead of the order. Visited 4 different gas stations before I found one with gas and had to wait in line for about 1\2 hour. Better safe than sorry. I hope I have better luck next year.

Thanks Felix. One of the first jobs I had as a teenager was delivering telegrams for Western Union (on a bicycle). I delivered plenty of telegrams in that area.

Already stopped up my attic vents. Getting a little windy here already. This house survived Dora in 1964. Hopefully survives Irma. My house is concrete block with a rebar and concrete cap and tongue and groove roof. They built them good back then. Nowadays they build cereal boxes with shingles
