Just a side note: I seen people post where they say "I've had 3 Propointers go bad" and I'm like how unlucky can one person be? I've used my Propointer for over 5 years, before giving it to a buddy and getting my PP AT, and my other hunting buddy has been using the same PP for more than 5 years and not a single issue. Then I see these videos of people using the pinpointer to dig with and I say AH! and you wonder why it goes bad?

Agreed! When I see you tube video's of somone using their PP to dig with and scrape rocks with I have to wonder if they respect their gear. These things are made rugged but can only take so much of a beating.
Back on topic, I owned a garrett pp for 4 years and recently purchased the propointer AT so it gets my vote

Garrett Propointer. Had same problem with false signals, but sent itin to Garrett and got updated coil and button. Works like dream now, I love it!!

I am not sure what you're talking about lol, what is your vote? The Propointer? I don't see you mentioning another Pin Pointer.

I have a x pointer and recently got a Pro Pointer AT. I love both, but I feel the Pro Pointer is the better all around pinpointer. My vote is for the Pro Pointer AT.

Have both the original Garrett Pinpointer and the new carrot, Garrett Pro Pointer - prefer the carrot, because of the beep acknowledgements of having turned it on and off without looking to see if the light is on or off.

Put me down for the Deteknix XPointer.
I have had mine for over a year... and I am not nice to it, still works great. I get it wet, push dirt, scrape rocks..... no problems. Plus... it never falses, except... sometimes.. depending on what frequency my Quattro is using, it will interfere.
I tried the centec pinpointer and it lasted all of 2 weeks and my father has the pro pointer and the switch is already going bad.... so I dont know... just my experiences.

Centech, bought it when I was unsure if I would keep detecting. Yes I replaced the switch, added a buzz motor and changed the speaker so it wasn't so loud. It has found plenty of stuff and when it gets too hot is gets over sensitive and buzzes every time you point down. I do plan on getting the garrett carrot but for now im able to find things.
