I was wondering how deep that 1820 coin was?

About 5 inches deep. Maby just a tad more. Took a while to get to because of all the rocks.

Funny you should say that. The weekend after the Capped Bust we went down to CT to a place that has produced some oldies. My luck seems to desert me in CT. Al found a 2 center that would have been in AMAZING shape if some dink hadn't shot it with a pistol 100+ years ago. Me? I didn't find JACK. Over a pound of led, handfull of bottlecaps, some pulltabs, couple Turtlefoots, bunch of scrap, and about .37 in clad. I did enjoy myself considerably however. Beautiful place. Lots of good exercise and I brought back 2 old bottles for a friend who is a bottle hound.
