I gotta know how this event went, please keep us updated for anyone who did attend, thanks!
Had a feeling there wouldn't be any spectacular finds there. Never had much luck with open fields. Most of my good finds have been near stone walls or cellar holes. Farmers rarely carried cash (or anything of value) with them while working the fields.
Good to hear it was a fun experience for everyone. If the price wasnt so high, I would have been there. 50$ a head is more than acceptable, especially when hunting grounds that AREN'T seeded, because you have no idea IF you will find anything at all. Between gas, lodging, food, etc... Your looking at around 500$ for a couple flat buttons and musket balls? next time come to MA ill get you a few free flat buttons, although I will have to charge the 6.25% tax here in the great commonwealth anyone see the hoover boys there and how many people you think showed?
