I just found and read this thread for the first time last week, thought Id give it a try..just found a $20 bill in a Food Lion Parking lot, looked as though the sweeper had swept it up, was in a pile of dirt/trash. 
Not a bad find, will be going in the pinpointer fund jar.

Food lion parking lot is the best for finding cash i guess. Several weeks ago i went to ship an ebay sell at a private post office. they stopped taking plastic so i left to go to the shopping center next door that had a ship all place. as i am looking for a spot to park i notice a couple bills on the ground so i park there. thinking i would find two or three dollars, i pulled up with the money on the passenger side. as i walk around the truck i come across two seperate wads of cash then the three singles i saw. I looked quick for more then jumped back in the truck and headed to the first post office. once there i counted out 188.00. i went inside and saw the lady in front of me was having the same cash delima that i ran into. I told her i was having a good day and paid for her shipping when i took care of mine.

one day walking home from school i found a nice chunky silver ring with possibly a small diamond in it, it has initials of someones name in it i think "HSH". Thats my best find without a metal detector and my only silver ring find lol since i just started detecting. ill also try and post pics of the ring on here
