Post Irma and Matthew silver coins

This spot that opened up was at a very popular public beach. Word got out QUICK! In an area that 3 people should be able to detect and not hear each other's machines there were 20 plus guys and girls squishing in to claim silver. I think everyone found tons of coins and a few found gold rings, including me. There were almost fist fights over the area as guys and sadly girls were crowding out people. It was like a pack of hungry wolves on a wounded bunny.

Wow sounds like a time. Good work pushing thru the hyenas :) :D

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh..Waterbaby! ..I wonder if any of the dirt silver hunters have seen this haul of yours?.....Probably better not even bring it up! Some of those poor old Soddys would lose they minds! The finds alone would kick at least half of them into the asylum, and the "Rock Tumble" would take out the rest!:laughing:

I aint never seen nothing like this Kap!!

An amazing haul Sir! That busted half is awesome!

I wondered when I would start seeing the "post hurricane" water hunts pop up.

One day..... I am going to try hunting a beach or two.

Good digs.

Awesome silver coin count:shock:, That just does not happen on my Gulf coast beaches. Not even after CANES!

In five years of hunting the beaches/water I have found exactly ONE silver coin. Even a wheat penny is an extremely rare find on my beaches.

Same here George, a couple Rosies in several years, and I know they were fresh bar change drops.

Those were my first thoughts too Mud, A lot of dirt hunters are shaking their heads right now.

Looks like the hurricanes opened up some areas and closed others. Kap is a gal BTW.

Now that's when Silver counts!! Stunningly Beautiful!!

Thanks OBN!! It was a great couple weeks!

Wow Kap! When I saw this post my first thought was an embarrassment of riches. Your hunts are the stuff of dreams- congrats!

Thanks Compass! :)

I can't believe how clean you get them old coins after coming off a salt beach....Cool stuff!

Tumble sometimes for days in fish tank rocks, soap and water and make sure you don't mix pennies (or anything else) in with them or they come out dark.

:wow: amazing! Congrats!

Thanks Cellrdwellr!

Congratulations on an amazing pile of silver.

Thanks! We have a few spots within 2 hours of my home that repeatedly produce silver after storms :)

WOW Ms. Kap! That's a nice haul of silver. I wish we could find some old silver here. But they are like hen's teeth. Bravo young Lady.

Thanks Dirtydog my friend!

Omg...back the Brinks truck up.. some fine booty thar.. and that bust half is totally amazing. .somebody has done there homework.. congrats

Thanks bootyhound! We have a few spots within two hours of my home that repeatedly give up silver coins after a storm.

That's a mighty fine pile of silver there mam, how long in the tumbler?

I forget if I answered already :) Anywhere from overnight to 3 days. Make sure no pennies or anything else are in with them when they tumble.

Outstanding Girl!!! Never seen soooo many silvers :wow: Big congrats
And the list?
I know you have a list

DOH! I don't have a list :) May make one someday. Didn't even show the huge pile of V Nickels and Buffalos and I won't even mention old pennies. Still cleaning the Nickels, haven't gotten to the pennies yet.

Congrats, that's an incredible haul!

Thanks X!

Ok, thanks. I usually only tumble for 4-6 hours which cleans them enough to roll but good to know! ;)

Make sure when you tumble silver coins that there's nothing else in there like pennies or they come out dark.

Wow,Congrats on all the loot!

Thanks Metaladdict :)

It sure was fun! Thanks!

Thanks! Lots of old stuff shows up there after storms :) Wish it was a bit closer to home but it's worth the travel!

Amazing haul. Congrats! May we know what part of the US you are in? I don't know where Larryland is. :darnconfused:

I'm in Florida East Coast.

Key spots are awesome from time to time but the rest of our beaches are HORRIBLE.

Just plain awesome!!! Lots of great stuff!

Thanks V!! And I haven't even finished cleaning the piles of V Nickels and Buffalos and I won't even mention the pennies.

I wish I could find where Larryland is so I could detect there too. In the USA we have Maryland, Dairy land (Wisconsin), and Fairyland (Provincetown, MA). I tried Google Earth to no avail....I guess I'll just read the success stories of this fictitious place...GREAT HAUL!!!! CONGRATS!!!!
