Getting ready to sell the house I grew up in and taking the opportunity to search their yard. Been hoping to find some silver coins since we lived there from 1954. Hopefully the folks dropped a dime or quarter before 1965 because I have only found a couple of silver coins since I started hunting last year.
Well yesterday I found an old ESSO gasoline key chain and the day before an old LOWENBRAU key fob along with a small handful of pennies, none of them old.

Well today I took a short break from hauling out old momentoes of my parents' lives and grabbed the ATP and worked along the driveway sure I'd eventually find something silver. Again some pennies and keys (not attached to any keychain) came to the surface. Then I glanced in the backyard at the spot where my mother hung the laundry and I headed there. In less than a minute I got a strong 84-87 signal. A quarter was what I hoped for but instead I finally got my silver but instead of a coin it was a ring. Possibly my brother's meaning it was there at least 40 years. Hey, not the coin I wanted but I'm very happy with the find!

I live in my parents old home. Was built in 1961.My dad being in the Navy he wasn't home much. Doubt a silver coin ever got lost in the yard.
