Why has the set up changed so I cannot post a pic larger than the avitar? I have done everything that I have been doing before but cannot make it bigger. Any help ? Can't see any use in posting pics any more that no one can see. Thanks, steve in so az

Steve if I click on your picture, it enlarges to normal size.

I like it this way. You just click and it enlarges, click again, and it shrinks. Less space. I do, however, have a hard time getting my pictures to such a small file size. My camera is a 4 Mbyte, and makes large files. Can anyone tell me how to shrink it?

Hey - This old dog learned a new trick !! Thanks for telling me how it enlarges, steve in so az

Steve, what spittfire said. Pretty simple  It helps the threads to load faster for our slower connected brethren ;)

Jason, use a photo editing program to shrink your file sizes or try a different format such as .jpg. The thing is, BMP files are not compressed while JPG files are.

When I click on a picture to enlarge it, it opens my Kodack easyshare program ,but will not show me an enlarged picture. Any advice?

i have been trying to use imagshack to shrink photos but i cant get them to show up. any help? all i get is link that does not link.

Make sure those file types you're trying to open are set to the correct program to open them. In my case I use Microsoft Fax Viewer.

i deleted and reinstalled my kodak software and did not check the box allowing kodak to be the main picture viewer. had too many problems. i also use microsoft fax viewer and save pictures in jpeg format. this works best for me.

Okay, let me try and walk you through changing your editing software. Right click the start bar, go to explore, then go to tools, folder options, file types. Scroll through until you see jpeg, click it to highlight it and below you will see, "open with" and the name of the program that is set to open that type of file. That is your "default" software and it will always open it unless you change it here. You can change it to whatever software you have that will open pictures. As with any change you make, do one at a time until you are sure that is what you want. If you screw it up, go to system restore and go back to yesterday and all will be right again. Hope this helps.
