So I recently found a item that I cannot ID, I showed it to some people and we think that it might be an old shoe clip, but any help would be appreciated!

Not sure what exactly it is but to me it looks like it was made using a bent spoon.

Part of it was made from a spoon, obviously...

Maybe someone made a decorative sash buckle, that would fit over a less decorative, but functional sash buckle..

Sort of like a big button cover...
