This park in my town goes back conservatively to the early 1900s. Perhaps there was some activity into the late 1870-80s. But the oldest coin ive pulled from there was a 1918 wheaty.
But today it was alot of DEEP iron, like 12 or so inches deep, and can slaw....
No wheats or anything nice and 1 quarter, 4 dimes, and a stack of pennies.
also there was some weird item. without any marks. that appears to be in copper or bronze that if anyone could identify i would be appreciative
notice also the few bits of copper tube. i found them right before dark and there was another 12-18 inches buried that i marked with a stick. ill get that tomorrow for the copper pile
and what appears to be a chunk of ore. found it right next to the lake and it looked just like a rock, but the whole thing rings up like a nickel on my ace 250
