Some might disagree but on a crusty unidentifiable copper use some steel wool on it and it should give you an identity.

Steve
i did just to see if it would reveal anything, but no luck.

AHHH Mother nature strikes again! You might try applying some light oil and look at it under a stronger light at different angles to see if some image shows up.

The one view "almost" looks like it has a head facing right. If so, it could be a draped bust half cent (1787-1806).

I can just barely make out ridge lines on the outside of the coin

Can almost make out a bust in one of the pictures. If it were me, I'd work it with a little steel wool some more to see if I could get anything on it to get a positive ID.

Take the image and invert the colors. I do that a lot with pics when there is difficulty seeing details. Sometimes inversion reveals the hidden

Same here, really stinks having dozens of blank copper disks. But in fairness, they did count towards my yearly totals so... question is what to do with them now? Lol
o def still count them  I keep my non display coins in a 3-ring binder in little coin sleeves. On my display counter, I have the "gemstone" capsules with my best example of each coin type.

Yeah, maybe a Draped Bust. Does sort look like a bust facing right.
