Hit the beach for a couple hours in the water. Kinda wasted a lot of the 1st half of the hunt chasing small beeps and chatter, and reviewing the ID #'s/guessing the targets. Stingray came to say hi and I started wondering if Nox frequency attracts salt water predators. :) Also had a lot of light junk - pieces of aluminum chair, pulltabs, beaver tails, small junk.

Spent the second half of the hunt lying to myself, saying "I'm going to skip over the probable bottle caps" but found it impossible to skip over the nice 10's and 13's, as you can see I still dug quite a few caps, 75% I guessed cap correctly using the all metal - coil tip null method. Kenneth cole shades were a solid 9 lol.

Sun was setting and this jack fish wouldn't stop using me for shelter  looked beat up on his head then I saw a chunk missing from his tail base  Perfect shark bait... Decided to give a few more swings. Hit another target like the bottle caps, 10/13 bounce with a 4 and a few -2 hits all in the same 8" radius. Tightened up the sweep and got a more solid 13, decided to dig. Out pops 7.8 grams of beauty :photo: Basically I figure I'm just gonna dig anything over iron as long as it doesnt sound like total junkola.

Surprisingly only 1 quarter and 3 zincs for clad :)

That's a Nice chunk of Gold!! Got to love this hobby!!

Congrats on the gold. Looks like you might have a few other keepers. Is that bracelet a "Brighton"? Those sell for a few bucks, check it out.

Nice hunt man, good to see gold with a new machine!
Thanks zee. Was exciting to give it a go. Tried learning tones early in the hunt but not sure I'll put much effort in that in the next few hunts.
Excellent ring.
Thanks :)
Congrats on the gold and nice hunt.
Thanks :)

Thanks :) Yes indeed. Sun and fun
Quite the find there Sir....Quite the find!!!
Thanks :D
Nice gold ring. That is the way to end the day.
Thanks, yea, and avoided becoming shark bait too. Once the jacks started feeding at sunset I figured it was time to go
Nice gold! Ugly teeth!
Congrats!
Lol yea, pretty gross. Think it was at one time gold plated, the inside was kinda golden but had a plastic core.
Nice score, I like the swordfish too!
Thanks. A lot of other guys have a mascot so I thought it was fitting :)
Nice ring. I'm looking to get a Nox soon. Great post.
Thanks, didn't really want to put "nox" in the title but I thought it was worthy :)

Thanks. Looked up Brighton, I wish it was that :) It's some junk from Alex and Ani. Looks like fishing tackle bent into a bracelet  Apparently its still not that cheap based on a brief amazon look, but the charms all corrode quickly.

:dingding: It's great when that yellow shows up to be the icing on the cake! Congrats on your Noxious gold too!

Nice work - and thanks for explaining how the targets are hitting when you're using your 800. Those of us trying to get the hang of the same machine appreciate it.

Nice looking band!
Thanks :)

Thanks Felix :) Looks like you've been enjoying yourself too

Thanks. :) Yea I was hoping others would read and we could compare. I'm using the 600 but yea not a lot of difference per se'.

I was wondering if anyone ended up doing the same as me in relation to chasing chatter. Sounded like Romy was a bit frustrated with his at first. I think everyone is turning on their Nox and saying its the latest and greatest and I need to find all this masked and hidden stuff, hence chasing the small stuff, chatter, and iffy targets. Next time I think I'll dig the solid tones then go back for the iffy ones.
