I never knew what to think of this guy? Great lauded mind?...Perhaps, but in the past few years who knows if it was him even saying this stuff? Coulda been anybody! Coulda been a Google car or a GPS? Who could tell? ...I dont like to throw stones at people I dont personally know, (well, yes I do) but some of this stuff was just flat out not worth a Tinkers cuss in a real World application...? Genius Please!
I've had the pleasure of knowing some really brilliant minds in my time..Hans Hanson from Grygla MN was one of them...he could solve any problem...once, his tractor tire developed an un-repairable rip..so he stuffed it full of some mice pist grain and threw it in the water trough...it swelled up, and off he went! Edward Leedskalnin from the Fla Coral Castle fame was another...didnt know him, but any guy who can figure out how to lift and stack massive slabs of rock all alone without any hydraulic machinery?? OK...this might come in handy!
Maybe I'm too stupid to understand what Hawking was talking about, or just too dumb to care..I bet any of us could give it a go and come off appearing just as smart.
Lemme try...."If the milk clabbers by noon, a worm hole in the galaxy will be opening up soon!" Or, like the one poet Morris out of Slingblade said..."Dot dot dot...baking the cookies of discontent, by the heat of the laundromat vent"
Yeah? How does this in any way help me? Sure he hung out at strip clubs, and we can all appreciate that, but really? Just what did this guy ever do worthwhile that is pertinent to my own Space and Time experience??
One of the most brilliant minds of all time , hard to imagine what he could have done with a healthy body.

I can't tell if you're serious or not but I seriously hope not.

He will forever be remembered for his insightful formula

describing the entropy of a black hole, a crowning achievement for
Hawking, who worked on it with his colleague Jacob Bekenstein. It
connects important thermodynamical quantities such as entropy,
represented by the capital S, to physical properties of the black hole,
namely its area, A. The remaining letters are constants of the universe;
k is the Boltzmann constant, c is the speed of light, h-bar is the reduced
Planck constant, and G is the universal gravitation constant.

describing the entropy of a black hole,
I'm to stupid to figure out what any of that means. A real genious will tell me where I left my wallet and car keys.
Precisely Poindexter! Thats what I've been saying all along! Heres an insightful formula for you!
BK(b2)= Kfc3 over TBcw^- A !
'Burger King double broiler meal = Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket with 3 sides..slaw, potatoes/gravy, and beans..divided by Taco Bell crunch wrap supreme, A!' Easy to understand and personally validate! This aint that hard!
Yeah? So whats Hawking got on the rest of us besides a cool accent and a Hoverround?? He aint even as smart as Elon Musk! Now THAT guy knows how to make money, soup up a golf cart, and land a rocket ship!
All I'm sayin is anybody can sound smart, if you have a willing audience and never have to prove it....
You guys miss the point. What Hawkins intuited is that the entropy of a black hole is proportional to its surface area (its event horizon) and not to its volume. Truly an insight as elegant as Einstein's E=mc^2.

Ummmm??? entropy???? Isn't that one of those tests they give you when you're over 50 and they insert some type of camera on a hose up a hole that things only should come out of and not be inserted into?
He made a number of appearances on The Big Bang Theory & the Simpsons .He will forever be remembered for his insightful formula
