I made it out to City Park for a hunt with a guy who was visiting from out of town. And while it was miserable hot and humid, I made it just shy of 1 mile (.94 mile) and got in a little over 3 hours. The ground here is heavily clay and it's been really dry so I was really thankful I had my Sampson 31 inch T Handle along. It was a bumper day for older coins, I got a 1942 pre "War Nickel" Nickel, a 1943 War Nickel, a 1945 Wheat and a 1950 Wheat along with 2 copper Memorials, a modern Nickel, 3 clad Dimes and 2 Clad Quarters (yay, more laundry money!). So, had a good time, got my exercise and probably sweated off 5 pounds...

That 1942 nickel has nice readable letters and numbers to my eyes. The 1943 looks like the joker on face side. That was a good day and you also enjoyed a free sauna treatment while detecting at no extra charge.
