Is it possible to figure out the date of manufacture by the serial number on the Legend?

what is the version number? Top right hand corner when you first turn it on..Are you buying a used Legend?

Mark in Michigan

No, not used. New, But interested in finding out when manufactured, I previously had a bad experience with a former dealer and sponsor, and not allowing that to happen to me again.
Can you tell me when and how many versions there are for the Legend?
I have privately emailed this question to Nokta still waiting for response.
Thx

The original version was 1.04, then they came out with a 1.05, then a 1.07 ,1.09 after that and then 1.11 and 1.13

so there has been 6 different versions came out Nokta then upgraded the Middle shaft on the 1.11 versions to include a carbon fiber middle shaft, redesigned arm cuff and added the LG30 coil, the Legends coming from the factory prior to 1.11 came with the LG28 coil, different style arm cuff and a metal middle shaft

Not sure how anyone could tell by the serial number as to when one was produced I do know that Nokta/Macro was on the original face plates and when they became only Nokta the face plate was then changed to only Nokta exactly when that was I have no clue

Well, thank you, oldkoot. I didn't realize all that.
I think whites had a code in the serial number that specified the year of manufacture, I thought all manufactures did this trick.
So, how can I be sure I am getting the latest and greatest?
How long has this last version been around, and is there another one coming out soon?

I bought mine about 6 weeks or so ago from bigboyshobbies and it was 1.11

Works perfect no complaints.

I believe the 1.13 update is to be able to use the pinpointer with the headphones.

the new gen legends coming from the factory whether it be 1.11 or 1.13 versions will include the new carbon fiber middle shaft, newly designed arm cuff and the LG30 coil any prior to 1.11 will come with the LG28 11 inch round coil, old style arm cuff and aluminum middle shaft, being this late in the game with the Legend you most likely will receive a new Generation Legend unless a dealer has old new stock still setting on a shelf which is unlikely at this stage of the Legend, i really cannot remember exactly when 1.11 came out but I believe it was sometime in 2023 maybe the end of 2022 but I believe it was in 2023

there has been talk about another update coming out that update will be called the Boost Mode or Beast mode, as far as I know that is still the intentions of Nokta but who actually knows and this was a few months ago

If an update was skipped will the most current update include evertyhing that was skipped? Example: if you went from 1.09 to 1.13 would all the updates from 1.11 be included? or would 1.11 have to be added in addition to 1.13?

Great info, thanks. I just want to make sure I'm not getting old stock. Like Kco did to me.

Maybe misinformation on UT so I'll ask. Once the headphones are paired, the speaker is muted while using the headphones?
True or False.

yes all updates include the previous things that were added

like say you go from a 1.05 version Legend and decide to skip 1.07,1.09 and 1.11 that is fine because 1.13 will include all the things that were added in those other 3 updates

Yes and no the reason I say this, is because in one of the updates there was a setting 2 added to the Bluetooth setting in the Legend, that when you have the Bluetooth set to 2 in the Legend you not only hear the tones through the Headphones but you also can hear the tones through the onboard legend speaker, set the Bluetooth back to 1 in the Legend and the tones are only heard through the headphones again, that was added for the you tuber people so they could hear the tones through the headphones and people watching their videos could also hear the tones at the same time.

If you figure that out, please let us Legends Owners in here would probably like to know, I don't have one ( yet).
Yep that's the scary part because whats to prevent a dishonest dealer from just adding all the new hardware like middle Carbon Fiber Shaft, newly designed arm cuff and LG30 coil and then updating up to the current version and then pawning them off to customers as the new Gen Legends because that is essentially what the new gen Legends are from the factory, the new Gen Legends have only ever had either 1.11 or 1.13 installed in them at the factory, no one would ever be able to tell if that was done by a dealer

the only tell tell sign that one could distinguish a first gen legend from a new gen Legend is the face plates were changed at some point to read Just Nokta on the Face plate instead of Nokta/Macro, and I am not exactly sure at what stage the face plates were changed to reflect the name change of the company, but I believe it was some of the 1.09 Legends face plates were changed to read just Nokta but not all

the actual New Gen Legends come from the Factory with just Nokta on the face plates, and the upgraded hardware (Carbon Fiber Mid Shaft, newly designed Arm Cuff and LG30 coil) as well as either 1.11 or 1.13 installed at the factory.

as I stated there really is no way to tell if you have a first gen Legend or a new Gen Legend because once someone adds the Carbon Fiber mid shaft, newly designed arm cuff and LG30 coil and updates to either 1.11 or 1.13 you essentially have a new Gen Legend

How do you pair nokta headphones with the legend AND with the deepdive pinpointer at the same time? Is it possible? Can I pair the headphones with the legend, deepdive, and my cellphone all at the same time?

Well that is one question I can not answer for you, I do not own the Accupoint so I never felt the need to learn how to pair the Accupoint to the Legend or the Legend headphones (SORRY)

if Deep Dive Pin Pointer you mean the Pulse Dive Pin Pointer that Pulse Dive cannot be paired to the Legend or the Legend Headphone the Pulse Dive utilizes WiFi as a wireless connection WiFi is not compatible with Bluetooth aptX LL which is what the Legend uses

The Accupoint is the only pin pointer that is compatible with the Legend and was specifically designed to be used with the Legend, new Simplex Ultra and the Score and Double Score Bluetooth aptX LL wireless connection

Easy as things get. Turn your headphones on, turn on the Accupoint. Pairs up within 20 seconds. Turn off the AP, turn your Legend on. Pairs up "fairly" quickly. Today the detector would not pair up for about 5 minutes, first time with an issue like this. Turned both off and then it paired.
