Nokta Impact information

Would love to, but we don't copy posts from other boards sorry.

Looks like this thread has played its last tune.

I wish you the best of luck.

Thank you. Being a dual citizen of the USA and Turkey, I love USA and Americans as I see it as my second home and yes I do believe in the freedom of speech. I try my best to be constructive rather than destructive though so if there is anything I can do to build a better communication with you moving forward, I am here. You can email or PM me with your number and I can gladly call you to talk on the phone to better understand each other maybe ..if not, no hard feelings on my end. Good luck to you as well.

Great information

Folks,I have been given the all clear to talk about the detector. To share with you the detector overall.

First,,I would like to thank Dilek and her team at Nokta detectors for giving me this opportunity to test this detector,,,and give her and her team my recommendations and thoughts on the detector.

I will try and keep my comments strictly in this thread.
There are other folks who are also testers,,and you will see them maybe share their thoughts too about the detector.

To start with,,,a very versatile detector,,,some real thought keeping the detectorist in mind went into this device.

Is it a perfect detector?? No
There is IMO no such animal.

I will also be posting a few pics,,,showing some things I really like,,and to show how meticulous the manufacturer was here,,,in bringing the detecting community an overall I feel good option to purchase should folks decide.

My goal here with posting information and pics,,,is NOT to tell you to buy,,,that is solely up to you.

In discussing this detector some references will be made to other detectors,,,this not meant to degrade or demean any detector here,,,,but since some folks here do operate these detectors,,,,making such comments may indeed paint a clearer picture for folks interested in this detector.

I have been hesitant to start even putting together some info,,,for fear of possible changes that would be made to the detector upon final release.

I will do the best I can to help folks here,,,and if I post some thing in error about this detector,,,it certainly will be unintentional.

Give me a few minutes here and I will start with some info.

I cant wait for my shipment to arrive,
I will be going out testing, in some old areas to see what I missed.
Thanks for you information

Another Impact hunt.
Smallest coil used exclusively.

Forum member Curbdog (Scott) has been here with me.
We actually spent 2 days together here.
In this area I have only found 2 coins previously,,,and Scott was with me both times.
Silver GW quarter and a buffalo nickle.

Folks I have pounded this site to high heavens using some very notable detectors,,stock and small coils.

This is first time Impact has been on this site today.

It is a bear,,,loads of iron and nails,,some modern trash.

My goal,,to see if I could take Impact and find just one coin,,,if I could would be tremendous for this site.

I only dug what I thought based on audio and vdi reporting,,what I thought were heavily challenged targets.

The Impact wearing smallest coil is the most intuitive metal detector Inhave ever run,,,period.

For whatever reason(s) this detector talks to me in ways I have never heard before.

The way the meter works,,tones,,and iron volume tones, overload tone,I can easily pick out challenged targets,,,targets that are being tremendously masked by ferrous materials,,even some targets being mask by nonferrous materials.

How polluted is this site,,,many times I could 't even lay my Garrett propointer down without it sounding off on whatever was in the ground.

Depths of the 2 coins,,wheat about 4" deep,,and the vnickel maybe 3" tops.

Folks there is a well here,,and a road where landowner drives back to the back part of his farm. Old house is gone. Can see it footprint by the footers that are flush with the ground.
Scott,,Zander told me to tell you hello.

If I knew how many times all these finds have been swung over by me,,I would puke.

So much for sink rates!!

This may sound strange to folks here by saying,,Impact will even find junk targets some other detectors won't alert on.

I think the bigger find is part of a lantern.

A stainless steel nut.
And a few other odds and ends.

DI99 mode,,99 gain,disc level 1, 20khz, used today.

I should also say,,first hunt in a while using Impact,,,been spending quite a bit of time with Deus V4. One of the reasons for my comments about the total language package this detector gives me wearing smallest coil.

Thats impressive that you picked those coins from that ground, considering how iron infested and how many times you've gone over it w/other detectors.

Thank you for the new report TNSS.

What was Scott swinging and did you happen to have him swing over your targets to see if his detector could find them?

Scott wasn't with me today.
I have talked to him,,and told him the story via tele.

Knew I could feel my ears burning! Now I can see why.

The times I've been to that site I've used a Deus Lite 11", the Nokta Relic, and I believe I broke out a Tesoro Compadre a time or two. The place is trash dense in that a house was torn down, right there in the center. When tnsharp' says you can't lay down a pinpointer without it sounding off, he's pretty much spot on!

Back out today with Impact.
Took the Deus V4 with 9" coil along too.

Used small coil extensively on Impact using max gain, DI99 disc level 1 and 2.

Hunted this one old house,,I am the only person to ever hunt this little shack,,it is like going into a prison with all the gates,,and sits behind the owners of the land house.

I have never found the first coin here,,,a few shotgun shells, one pocket knife and a few can lids previously.

Well today using Impact and smallest coil,,only one find made,,an old 22 cal bullet at about 2" deep.

This site is a mad house with iron and nail signals especially out front,,even a good ways from the front of the shack.

With this time of year,,,about as good a coil access to hunt thi site today.
Cows too had some of the bushes briars broke down.

So only one fine really not very worthy using Impact with smallest coil.

So next I fire up the DeusV4,,oh my the signals were everywhere, so I dug a few,,turned out to be pieces of tin.

If you will go back up in this thread I mention this about Impact and Deus.

Impact even running 20khz hunts in old tin so much better than Deus using 18khz.

This is the third site where I have had problems with Deus and tin,,remember prior use of Deus here was V3.2.

Impact in these 3 sites did well on the tin.

Now I am not saying you won't dig an occasional piece of tin with Impact,,but you take a Deus into a site even running V4,, where tin is mixed with nails,,,hold on,,you are in for a ride.

There has to be a coin here surely.
Will keep trying but will be a while for another try here.

I'm currently in the market for a new detector and I'm liking what I see with the impact. I see there is a beach mode for this machine but I don't see any reviews from anyone using it on the beach. Is it capable of working the wet sand?

What was your silencer setting on? a setting of 3 should knock out a lot of that response on small rusted tin mixed in with other signals.

You run a setting of 3 silencer here in my soil,,yep the tin might go away,,but so will the good nonferrous targets.

Maybe here is a better way to express what I said above.

Both Impact and Deus configured in the way where they are both at maximum potential (settings wise) for separating and unmasking in ferrous materials,,and tin is present,,Impact seems to be the odds on favorite for placing tin in the ferrous category tone wise.
I even seen numbers in the screen yesterday like 83, 86,, and yes low and mid 90s readings in Deus meter with some rather sweet tone (tin).

To tell the truth here,,,I actually think Version 4 took some of the tone nuance out of ferrous targets when swept,,vs Deus V3.2.

Now I am not dogging Deus here,,,just good honest reporting.
My Deus units or Impact unit for that matter aren't going anywhere for a while.

I don't have a beach near me.
This link,,,this gent Monte is an Impact tester.
Looks like he plans on using on beach soon.

It's a pain at times waiting on stuff arriving, but they'll arrive eventually.
You can get them off the shelf in the UK at the moment, and some user reviews are coming through.
