Hello everyone my name is Larry Hall. I'm a 60year old U.S. Army veteran. I'm a newbie in metal detecting. I live in Pittsburgh PA, and I just bought Minelab 600.

Hi Larry, Mitch here, from wisconsin, US Marines 73 years old, just starting after a long quiet spell. About to pop for an ACE 400.

Welcome Larry from the South Hills. Where in Pgh. you located. Good choice on the Minelab. If I can help pm me. By the way thank you for your service and welome to a very addicting hobby. Good luck Mark

:fmdfwelcome:... from the cold and snowy state of Minnesota! :lotsasnow::snowtruck: We're glad that you have joined us. Happy hunting! :mder:

Thank you for your service to our country. :tiphat:

If you are looking for a local metal Detecting club to join, the Monroeville Area Metal Detecting Club is a good one. A bunch of great people. I was a member for a couple years, and still keep in contact with the group through their Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1409593332635462/

Never went to one of their meeting because in typical Pittsburgh fashion, I'd have to cross one of the rivers to do that. Meaning it's too far. :)

So Roy, if you cross both rivers does that make it a road trip ? Ha ha. Good old Parks on both sides of the rivers. HH Mark
