New Whites Vision Spectra

I agree Tx I would wait and see how others feel about the machine after using it for a while.

I agree with GreenMeanie......about average joes reviewing these, but at the price they want the average joe can't afford them.

They could offer a discount to the members of this forum to test and report on them, but then again they may be afraid they won't like the reviews:?:.

Sorry, just thinking out loud............

Cann't be loud enugh.:D

One bad thing whites started was an xtra forum for pulse tid users. your serial is the only way to get registered. so this is NOT PUBLIC. Think they'll know why.

For better understanding, they HAVE a whites only forum hosted @ treasureNet...?! :?:

May be they go a differnt way for the vision, who knows. But as I said, 1 time p.$$.d off by the staff is enough.

And with that this thread is off to me.

All the Best & HH

I think the biggest and best thing about the vision is the 3 or 4 ways to ID a target ..from the targets makeup...to its SIZE/..I dont know about you guys,,Ill give up a few inches on my minelab if i could get The ID the vision has,,being able to tell what a target is is the most important thing,,I dont wanna dig junk..I loved my gti 2500 due to the sizing,,But it lacked in many other areas,,so i went to the minelab SE..I will deff be buying a vision when i can afford it ,,The time i save digging up iffy targets will be better put to use digging up Targets that i have a Better ID on with the vision..Thats just my opion formed from many many many hours of digging.

I am curious what those signals will look like when targets are in the ground?

They could bounce all over the place like the DFX does and then what?

Reciently there was a thread out DFX vrs XLT I've used both and in my opinion the DFX is a better machine only because I can make it into an XLT any time I want and I love the XLT.

Have any of you read the manual for the Vision? The DFX has a best data and a 15 mhz but it doesnt tell you whats closest to the 15 the new Vison not only has best data but tells you at what range the detector is hitting so this detector actually gives information the DFX doesnt. Foil would be one color and one range say for example 2.5mhz(no need t dig), pull tab perhaps 7mhz, GOLD 22mhz this detector gives you this information and its in color. Unlike the DFX it gives you best data but it backs it up instead of just bouncing all over the place. Is it a good target a bad target who knows with the DFX but with the Vison it backs up the information is is processing. The guess work on tarsh to treasure has been greatly reduced.

Everyone keeps talking about the purchase price come on yes it is high but I know all you DFX users your detectors have long paid for themsleves. I believe ths detector will be no different one summer maybe two it will pay for itself. I had this feeling once -20 in ocean water middle of winter I just had to be there. My then girlfriend telling me it was too cold not to go. One day before our dating aniversary 2nd year together.

Well I went anyway and I pulled her engagment ring 15 dimonds and three feet away pulled my wedding band. I'm having this kind of VISION:shock::shock::shock::shock:

Hi Jc, Ok I'm glad you have a great outlook and I take it that the Vision is worth the high cost to you. I'm a Whites dealer and just had to ask if the higher cost of the Vision would be acceptable to all the Friendlies here if it would perform at that level. I am just learning the Vision myself and I decided to make a demo out of the only one I got so far. It will be interesting indeed!
Ok JC I wish you good hunting and be safe too. Thanks for your feedback.

2 guys play basketball.the first one only on weekends in a pickup game the other is a NBA allstar.they both like the game but one is dedicated.they are the ones that will get the vision because its their life, they need the best to stay at the top of their game, the other likes the game but doesn't put the long hours in that the pro would so they are happy playing just on a weekend.I own 2 dfx's that I paid for in just 3 years worth of clad that I had found.Yes, I'm a little nuts because I put in 4 or more hours a day out detecting.to each his own.If you go out hunting with a turn on and go detector and have a ball then thats all you need.If your a fanatic then you would want the newest bells and whistles.

Fanatic is a bit strong wouldnt you say after all you and I both own two DFX's thats a little out there not to mention my Excalibur but after reading the manual and comparing the DFX to the Vision its like apples and oranges. The DFX and the XLT like in football (nothing against basketball) but its to close to call. The DFX acording to the manual cant hold a candle to this new machine.

As far as the two reviews by Jimmy Seria and that other guy I didnt think they were that great although they gave praise to the detector and did find some deeper older coins in a park that had been hunted with the DFX that could have been just blind luck. I think we have all went over spots only to later hit it again and find something we missed.

Personaly speaking as the months pass the real scoop(no pun)will be out until then we will just have to wait and see. I may buy one today I'll let you know how it works from a fanatics point of view.

Wow, I had no idea this thread would get so many posts! Unfortunately inclimate weather has been hanging around for a couple days now. I don't know if I will be able to try it this weekend or not. Good hunting Friendlies and always be safe.

As it is with any new detector.. the company selling it wants to tell you its the best there is. As we all know the best there is is the one you hunt with. Right? However, the facts dictate that the better detrectors are those that can be adjusted to the ground conditions we hunt in as well as other factors. The more you can adjust or have pre-programmed the better it can be to find good targets. My limited use of the Vision so far tells me that once I get "used" to it the more I am going to like it. The fact that you can 'see" the target better alone makes it a good choice for me. The analyze system shows you what the target "looks like" from three seperate frequencies. Demos show that several different gold rings will look like pull tabs/rings from the DFX perspective but switch the Vision over to the analyze screen and it becomes clear what the ring looks like. Target probability is another new feature that gives you abetter idea what the target is. There are more icons as well as more control over settings and they can be put in "live" on the screen for quick adjustment. There is a lot more and i am going to be using this detector for some time to come and will be able to tell you more as time goes on. The color screen is cool and very well designed also. All in all this is a big step up in user friendly high end detection. If you would like to know more please let me know.

Hi Friendlies, I have been intentionally standing under or near power lines with the Vision and no interference so far. This Vision is very light and easy to use. I didn't know if I would like the headphones that come with it but they seem to fit very well and are comfortable. Still kinda hard to get used to no curly cord swinging around. I like the DD coil it comes with because it is easier to pinpoint the target with it. I will be trying to use the Vision as much as possible but I also will be busy in the radio shack in the evenings building FM transmitters for a client. But by all means call and I will come running to answer your needs. By the way Epi you will be having a Vision too, very soon. Good hunting everyone.

Hi Friendlies, I wanted to be sure and say that I am not here to push any of you to buy something you may not feel comfortable with. Researching as many sources of info on any detector is advisable. I will try my best to be accurate in what I tell y'all on a detector model. But the Vision has a couple of things I was hoping for and that is a color display and the signwave type analysis display of each frequency. But the real test for me is more accurate ID at greater depths. It is definitely a cool machine to be sure! Good hunting all and be safe.

I've been watching reports of the Vision very closely because I've been wanting to upgrade for several years, but the right detector just hasn't come along yet. While the price is high I don't think it is out of line, and I am willing to pay $1,700 if I think I'm going to get $1,700 worth of advantages. So far so good.

But I'm still waiting on the reports, or lack of, from those worked out sites. That will be my decision maker.

Thats what I am doing with the Vision, going over places I have been going over for the last 3 years now. I'm just getting started with the Vision and we will see if I have missed anything at depth. Good hunting Detector!
