New to the forum and area

I've moved to Lees Summit MO from Lawrence where I had lots a great places to hunt. Looking and finding spots it a challenge.
Anyone here active as a hunter with tips in the area?
I have an Ace 300 looking at upgrading to a Minelab Equinox 900 but need to know I have places I can go that will result in coins and other gems.

Welcome from Atlanta. Just look at historic aerials for Lees Summit MO and zoom out and see what say an hour's driving range includes. You can do a map compare and switch to old TOPO's to see old homesites that show up as a solid square or rectangle and if they are just outlined, that means typically an out building. Look for all the parks. Lots of totolots or vollelyball courts makes for some good jewelry hunting. Of course 900 is over kill for those sites.
