Hello new friends!
Okay so here is a quick rundown of my situation. Back in December my wife and I got into an argument which resulted in me throwing my wedding ring out the back door and onto the lawn... somewhere. As I saw the ring fly into darkness... I had a pretty good idea as to the area it had landed. I had been looking for the ring as much as possible since but with no luck. I couldn't afford a metal detector because I couldn't afford it. Until recently a coworker allowed me to borrow his. Now since December my lawn has seriously grown nearly 2 1/2 feet tall. No joke. I had been afraid to mow it because I didn't want to take the chance of having it get picked up by the mower and giving it burrs or really chewing it up but before I started my metal detecting journey, I did knock the grass down with a weed whacker to help. So with all of that said, I have in my possession a Bounty Hunter Tracker IV metal detector. The ring is made out of Titanium Carbide or Tungsten Carbide or just one of those types. I really cant remember exactly but I know its is or it is really close to those materials. Is it possible for that metal detector to pick up that type of ring? I am having a real hard time understanding the ins and outs of using a metal detector and getting the proper settings set. Can anyone help me narrow down the settings on this Tracker IV? Any information at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all for your input.
