New, Aftermarket Coils for the LEGEND

Thank you for info, I kind of want a Legend , great luck with it.

Too just buy one. The price is very reasonable and if you don't click with it you will have no problem reselling it. From reading the forums I would say its the most popular new machine out there right now. And since it just about shed its growing pains it has come into its own. And as far as coils go I personally think the LG24 is the perfect size coil but for many old school diehards they still want one for each scenario. So this should give the Legend a boost it really doesn't need and maybe shake up the other manufacturers. Good luck. Mark

Thanks for the info. I’m leaning hard towards picking up a Legend at the end of the year. I’m currently using/learning the Nox 900 and loving it, but would like another arrow in my quiver. I’d like a backup machine and there is no single perfect detector.
I think the Legend is a basic machine with a lot of features. I'm still green and I know the Nox 900 is claimed to be a beast. So give it a try if you can.

I've got the 7.5"x4" for my Nokta Impact.
The Nel Snake is a similar size and I'll bet it would be a great addition to the Legend.

Lack of coil choices for other detectors is a factor for a lot of us.

Was reading Nel is releasing aftermarket coils for the Legend. A Snake 6.5x3.5 is the smallest and a 15x17 the largest. Supposedly there are others in between. 10 in total. Should be interesting, particularly when its competitors have such a limited amount of coil options.

Very interesting, Mark...thanks for the heads up. I had a NEL Thunder coil way back when I had an AT Max. From what I remember, the Thunder had great sensitivity to smaller targets for a larger coil, which was an important factor for me. Slightly pricey coil, but I was happy with its performance. Only sold it because I sold the AT Max.

Unfortunately, NEL is based in Kharkiv, Ukraine...given the situation there, I'd worry about their ability to maintain supply and warranty service. But that said, if they show up at any US distributors, I'd be tempted to buy one just to spite a certain regime!
