Spend a few extra $$$ and get the Garrett one. It seems to be the pinpointer to have among most guys.

Wrap some electrical tape around the speaker to keep dirt and moisture out. Then you don't have to put yer thumb over the speaker when you rinse it.

Love mine, enjoy.

Ya I should have both of my detectors this week then I might have to get that deal as well..and pray for some warmer weather...looks like it will get in the 40's for me.

garet hands down
but after you get a beter machine.with dics a sunray in line

oh yeh garet will sound off on anything metal.so if you get a nail rescan the hole always!!

There's an online store selling the Garrett Propointer for $117. Just google it or do a yahoo shopping search.

With out a doubt, go for the Pro! Mine stays in the car, everything else comes out so I never leave home with out it because I rely on it so much I"ll drive back home if I forget it. It will cut your digging time by 75% or more. Worth every penny and them some.

Do as I did.. listen to these guys. I did and I don't regret for one second getting the propointer it is so useful and makes the job ten times easier and quicker

Pin pointer..

Yep, go with the Garrett Pro Pointer.. I have two one I bought from a dealer for $110 shipped (PM me for details if you want) and my other was the special for $137 from NED that included the lesche digger.. A great combo..

Since your are new to the hobby, it will really make it much more enjoyable for you.

Good luck..

I had 2 that came with my detectors but they suck. So I got the wife and I pro pointers and we love them.

do yourself a favor and go out and get the garrett propointer......you won't regret it.

Pinpointer is a MUST HAVE if you are detecting. I personally have tried a few and I absolutely love my Vibra Probe. It is tough as nails and I've used it under water, in mud, etc. I can even dig with it! Worth its weight in gold.

I got mine for $100 from Bob at Battlefield Detectors in Boonsboro, MD.
Not sure why he sold it to me at cost, but I'm not complaining. He also sold me my Lesche for $20.
